Job Title: MEICA Design Engineer
Location: UK-based (remote options for the right candidate)


About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) Design Engineer to become a vital part of our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and integrating comprehensive MEICA systems for our wastewater treatment projects. Your contributions will be key to delivering successful solutions.


The Role
 

  • Oversee detailed mechanical, electrical, and control system designs. 

  • Produce Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), electrical wiring diagrams, and control panel schematics. 

  • Specify suitable mechanical components such as pumps, piping, and valves. 

  • Select and specify instrumentation devices for process monitoring (e.g., flow, pressure, water quality). 

  • Contribute to defining the control and automation strategies for projects. 

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of designs. 

  • Offer technical guidance during procurement, installation, and commissioning stages.
     

Your Profile:
 

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Control Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Hands-on experience in MEICA system design, preferably within the UK water or wastewater industry. 

  • Familiar with design tools like AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software. 

  • Solid knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems. 

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
